He married Mary Florence Sharp on October 3, 1901 in Tipton County, IN.⁽³⁸⁴¹⁾ Mary was born on December 21, 1879 in Ekin, Tipton Co, IN.⁽³⁸⁴²⁾ Mary was the daughter of GNU Sharp f of Mary Florence Sharp. Mary died on August 4, 1972 in Anderson, Madison County, 2, at age 92.⁽³⁸⁴³⁾ Her body was interred in the East Union Cemetery Section 2, Row 3, Lot 3 on August 8, 1972 in East Union, Hamilton Co, IN.⁽³⁸⁴⁴⁾ The gravestone reads: "Mary F. Thompson, 1879-1972, Mother."
