James Franklin⁵ Small (James William⁴, Thomas Jefferson³, John², George¹) was born in Tipton, Tipton County, IN on December 4, 1889.⁽⁴⁸⁶⁵⁾ James died on September 25, 1955 in Tipton County, IN, at age 65.⁽⁴⁸⁶⁶⁾ At the time of his death he had four grandchildren. His body was interred the Fairview Cemetery Section F, Row 26, Lot 12 on September 28, 1955 in Tipton, Tipton County, IN.⁽⁴⁸⁶⁷⁾ The gravestone reads: "James F. Small, 1889-1955", with the sign of the Moose.
