96. George Newton⁴ Small (William³, John², George¹) was born in Lebanon, Boone County, IN on January 14, 1855. George died on September 14, 1922 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN, at age 67.

He married Minnie Phidella Ellis on October 17, 1896 in Frankfort, Clinton Coounty, IN. Minnie was born on May 11, 1870 in Ladoga, Montgomery Co, IN. Minnie was the daughter of Isaac Ellis and Sarah Valina Nicholson. Minnie died on March 13, 1920 in Lebanon, Boone County, IN, at age 49. When Minnie was age 28 and George Newton Small was age 43 they became the parents of Ernest I. Small in 1898. When Minnie was age 32 and George Newton Small was age 47 they became the parents of Omel Small in 1902. When Minnie was age 39 and George Newton Small was age 54 they became the parents of Mervin Augustas Small on July 5, 1909 in Lebanon, Boone County, IN.

When George was age 43 and Minnie Phidella Ellis was age 28 they became the parents of Ernest I. Small in 1898. When George was age 47 and Minnie Phidella Ellis was age 32 they became the parents of Omel Small in 1902. When George was age 54 and Minnie Phidella Ellis was age 39 they became the parents of Mervin Augustas Small on July 5, 1909 in Lebanon, Boone County, IN.

George Newton Small and Minnie Phidella Ellis had the following children:

+ 301 i. Ernest I.⁵ Small was born in 1898.

302 ii. Omel Small (living status unknown).

+ 303 iii. Mervin Augustas Small was born on July 5, 1909.
