George W.³ Small (Archibald Elsworth², George¹) was born in Marion County, IN on May 6, 1836.⁽¹⁰⁷⁷⁾ George died on July 3, 1906 at age 70.⁽¹⁰⁷⁸⁾ His body was interred in the East Union Cemetery Section 1, Row 21, Lot 20 after July 3, 1906 in Adams Township, Hamilton County, IN.⁽¹⁰⁷⁹⁾ The gravestone reads: " George W. Small, born May 6, 1836, 70y, 1m, 27d."

He married Melinda A. Sharp on January 29, 1855.⁽¹⁰⁸⁰⁾ Melinda was born on August 28, 1834 in KY.⁽¹⁰⁸¹⁾ Melinda died on November 12, 1905 at age 71.⁽¹⁰⁸²⁾ Her body was interred in the East Union Cemetery Section 1, Row 21, Lot 20 after November 12, 1905 in East Union, Hamilton Co, IN. When Melinda was age 21 and George W. Small was age 19 they became the parents of John Alvin Small on January 13, 1856 in Ekin, Hamilton County, IN.⁽¹⁰⁸³⁾ When Melinda was age 23 and George W. Small was age 21 they became the parents of Emily I. Small on February 24, 1858 in IN.⁽¹⁰⁸⁴⁾ When Melinda was age 24 and George W.
