1. Nathaniel¹ Skinner (#590) was born in Pennsylvania about 1811 or 1812.⁽¹⁾

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Johnson on February 15, 1842 in Henry County, IN.⁽²⁾ (Elizabeth Johnson is #946.) Elizabeth was born on May 22, 1823.⁽³⁾ Elizabeth died on September 25, 1845 in Henry County, IN, at age 22.⁽⁴⁾ Her body was interred the Lebanon Baptist Cemetery Row 15 from east; lot 4 by road after September 25, 1845 in Jefferson Township, Henry County, IN.⁽⁵⁾ The gravestone reads: " Elizabeth Skinner, Sept. 25, 1845, 22y, 4m, 3d; wife of Nathaniel Skinner"

He married Eleanor C. Hinaker on February 10, 1847 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.⁽⁶⁾ (Eleanor C. Hinaker is #591.) Eleanor was born in 1828 in Rockingham County, VA.⁽⁷⁾ Eleanor was the daughter of George Hinaker and Mary Surname unk w of George Hinaker.

In the Census of 1850, Nathaniel was listed as a head of household in Monroe Township, Delaware County, IN.⁽⁸⁾ In the Census of 1860, Nathaniel was listed as a head of household in Monroe Township, Delaware County, IN. In the Census of 1870, Nathaniel was listed as a head of household in Monroe Township, Delaware County, IN.⁽⁹⁾

Nathaniel Skinner and Elizabeth Johnson had the following children:

3 ii. John Skinner (#595) was born in IN before September 25, 1845.

Nathaniel Skinner and Eleanor C. Hinaker had the following children:

4 iii. Servilla J. Skinner (#596) was born in IN about 1848. She married Jesse M. Windson on August 29, 1875 in Muncie, Delaware County, IN.⁽¹⁰⁾ (Jesse M. Windson is #13109.) Jesse was born est 1848.

5 iv. Francis M. Skinner (#833) was born in IN about 1850.

6 v. Hester A. Skinner (#834) was born in IN about 1853.

7 vi. James Skinner (#835) was born in IN about 1856.

8 vii. Emily Skinner (#836) was born in IN in January 1860. Emily died before 1870 in Delaware County, IN, at age unknown.⁽¹¹⁾

9 viii. Samuel Skinner (#940) was born in IN about 1864.

10 ix. Simia A Skinner (#941) was born in IN about 1867.
