28. Peter⁵ Acker II (Peter⁴, Peter³, Casper², Jacob?¹)⁽²⁹⁹⁾ was born on December 13, 1808.⁽³⁰⁰⁾ Peter died on May 13, 1873 in Edom, Rockingham Co, VA, at age 64.⁽³⁰¹⁾ His body was interred in the Brenneman Cemetery after May 13, 1873 in Edom, Rockingham Co, VA.⁽³⁰²⁾

He married Louisa Ann Barnes on April 12, 1829.⁽³⁰³⁾ Louisa was born est 1813. Louisa⁽³⁰⁴⁾ was the daughter of C. J. Barner and Mary Surname unk m of Louisa Ann Barnes. Louisa died est 1870 in Edom, Rockingham Co, VA, at age unknown.⁽³⁰⁵⁾ Her body was interred in the Brenneman Cemetery est 1870 in Edom, Rockingham Co, VA.⁽³⁰⁶⁾ When Louisa was age 14 and Peter Acker II was age 18 they became the parents of William Pollock Acker in 1827.⁽³⁰⁷⁾ When Louisa was age unknown and Peter Acker II was age unknown they became the parents of Jefferson Acker est 1828. He moved to Texas before 1860.⁽³²⁵⁾ Jefferson served in the military est 1861 in VA.⁽³²⁶⁾ He moved to Virginia about 1861.⁽³²⁷⁾ Swank could find no information on this person. A story is offered that once he returned to Texas after the Civil War, he said if he was given $5.00 he would leave. He was given the money and his brothers never saw him again. A rumor says that he married and had a son.

+ 82 iii. Isaac Acker was born on September 4, 1832.

83 iv. Jacob Acker was born in 1836.⁽³²⁸⁾ Jacob died on April 27, 1881 in Burton, Harvey County, Kansas, at age 44.⁽³²⁹⁾ The following individual is also linked to this event: Louise Acker (witness). He served as an officer in the military after 1861 in VA.⁽³³⁰⁾ Jacob served in the military after 1861 in VA.⁽³³¹⁾ Jacob was ill on August 25, 1864 in Reams Station, Dinwiddie County, Virginia.⁽³³²⁾ He moved to Valley Twp, Burton, KS in 1873.⁽³³³⁾ Jacob worked as a farmer in Burton, Harvey County, Kansas after 1873.⁽³³⁴⁾ Jacobs has the birthdate as 1829.

+ 85 vi. Louise Acker was born ca 1838.

+ 86 vii. Amanda Acker was born ca 1839-1840.

Peter Acker III was born ca 1842.⁽³³⁵⁾ Peter died in Octobe 1924 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN, at age 82.⁽³³⁶⁾ His body was interred in the New Crown Cemetery Section 7, Row 4, No. 5264 on October 23, 1924 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN.⁽³³⁷⁾ Peter served in the military on April 18, 1861 in VA.⁽³³⁸⁾ The following individual is also linked to this event: John Q. Winfield (officer). Peter served as an enlisted person, in 7th VA Cavalry at the battle in Chancellarsville, Spotsylvania County, Virginia in 1863?.⁽³³⁹⁾ His horse was shot out from under him resulting in a limp that he carried for the rest of his life.

He was released from active duty on August 31, 1864.⁽³⁴⁰⁾ Peter worked as a painter and paperhanger in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN before 1924.⁽³⁴¹⁾ Peter was a member of the Redman Lodge in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN.⁽³⁴²⁾ He was a large man who wore a heavy mustache. His brother Isaac of Kansas mentions Peter's visits in January 1884, January 1892, January 1895 and March 1904.

+ 88 ix. John Acker was born on July 24, 1845.

+ 89 x. Charles Acker was born on May 7, 1849.
