This was a travel day, Maui to Hawaii

We drove around the island in separate cars, but we all accidently met at Kilauea Crater for the "lava meets the sea" fireworks at dusk.

The eastern end of the Chain of Craters Road. It disappeared after the 1983 lava flows.

31 1/2 years later Rich & Pris meet at the Volcano House where we stayed on our 1967 Honeymoon. Prime Rib and Pasta for dinner was great.

We drove back to the Volcano to see the Jagger Museum

I thought someone was going over the edge, but native Hawaiians still practice ceremonies at the crater's rim.

We are off to the Bay View Coffee Mill and a Luau @ King Kamehameha Hotel.
